
Course Details: Tower Scaffolds
Course Duration: Half-day
Course Description:
The Construction (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1996, require that the erection of Mobile Access Towers should be carried out by, or under supervision of a competently trained person. This course is designed for all operatives that will be erecting, inspecting or dismantling tower scaffold.
Aims: By the end of this course personnel will:
* Be able to identify the different types of tower scaffold.
* Be aware of the regulations that effect tower scaffolding.
* Be able to risk assess the job that the tower scaffold will be used for.
* Show in practice they are able to safely construct, move and dismantle a tower.
Learning Objectives:
* Understanding tower scaffold terminology.
* To use checklists to ensure stability and safety.
* The safe use of towers with regards to the environment and conditions.
* Erectors and users obligations.
* Responsibilities as imposed by regulations governing the use of tower scaffold.
Personnel attending the course will achieve a certificate of competence so they can erect and dismantle Tower Scaffolds safely.
